Benjamin totaled 16 kills and 4 1/2 blocks for Lubbock High this past week in its five-set win over Abilene Cooper (34-32, 25-11, 21-25, 25-27, 15-5) on Tuesday.
“(Abilene Cooper) was an exceptionally long match,” Lubbock High head coach Matthew Leesman said. “She was really big for us there both on the defensive side and the offense, coming up huge for us. She kept us alive for most of the match and was sort of our go to player.”
