PLAINVIEW — Ayana Segrest felt it was a turning point.
Coronado’s sophomore middle blocker notched the exclamation point on a 25-21 victory in the third set, which appeared to turn the tide in Tuesday night’s Class 5A bi-district playoff match against Hereford.
“I think we all felt like we could come back after that,” Segrest said. “When I got back to the huddle, I told everyone, ‘This is going to a fifth set.’ And the rest of my teammates were pumped.”
