1. Coronado (22-9): Much of high school basketball is guard driven, which makes Coronado’s frontcourt of Zach Stepp and Emoree Giddens all the more impactful. Jarrett Culver was Lone Star Varsity’s Newcomer of the Year last year and will be a leader in a group that includes returning contributors David Patton and J.J. Culver.
2. Levelland (22-11): The Lobos have the skill to remain at the top of this list for the entire season if they come together quickly enough after football.
