One week ago, Bryson Daily showed he was ready to take the next step in his high school football career at Abernathy. The freshman quarterback engineered a 45-yard drive to set up the game-winning field goal against a stout Post defense.
The second-to-last play saw Daily roll to his right and throw a dart to Zachary Ponciano, who caught the ball at his chest and tapped his right toe on the 10-yard line. Six weeks prior, Ponciano was rehabbing a shoulder injury before he returned the field and made a season-saving catch.
