Gomez scored 24 points in just three quarters in Lubbock Christian High's 80-35 rout of Abilene Christian on Friday. On Jan. 12, he recorded 23 points in the Eagles' 65-43 win over the Lubbock Titans.
The junior leads the team in scoring and is among the top three rebounders for Lubbock Christian. Eagles' coach Brad Crow said he is one of the leaders of the team, who leads by example and is always in the gym practicing.
