Frenship will be the Lubbock area’s lone 6A school.
The UIL released its reclassifcation and realignment conference cutoff numbers for 2016-17 and 2017-18 Friday.
Frenship, with 2,549 students, meets the 2150 and above criteria for 6A.
Coronado and Monterey, previously 6A schools from the current realignment, have 2088 and 2069 students, respectively. The 5A range is 1,100-2,149 students.
