It wasn’t just a deep run from the Estacado girls basketball team that kept several softball athletes away from the diamond early this year.
While the Lady Matadors played into the third round of the basketball playoffs and kept some athletes on the hardwood, including Zakeia Collins and Fabe Dunn, Estacado’s newly-launched soccer program also occupied athletes until as recently as two weeks ago.
