Chelsea Hunter tied her career high with 24 points and sophomore forward Braylyn Dollar sparked a big third quarter that boosted Monterey past Odessa 63-45 Tuesday night.
Hunter’s a 5-foot-6 junior point guard. Her 24 points matched what she scored earlier this season in a game against Frisco Independence.
Playing at home, Monterey led only 25-23 at halftime, but Dollar scored 10 of her 17 points in the third quarter, helping the Lady Plainsmen stretch it to 47-35.
Monterey (6-7) got 12 points from Zan White.
