Maxfield introduced as Brownwood’s new head football coach
Former Shallowater coach Kyle Maxfield was introduced as Brownwood’s new head football coach Friday morning.
Maxfield was the 2014 Lone Star Varsity football Coach of the Year after leading the Mustangs to the Class 3A state semifinals following the graduation of close to 20 seniors the season prior.
The past two seasons, Shallowater went a combined 23-5.
Maxfield, a Sudan graduate and former Texas A&M walk-on, was hired at Shallowater in 2009.
