SHALLOWATER — Former Slaton and current Plains football coach Chad Terry was
approved as Shallowater's new head football coach and athletic director Wednesday during an hours-long school board meeting.
Shallowater Independent School District's school board voted on the budgeted item after about three hours in a closed session.. The hiring was passed with a 6-0 vote.
Immediately after the vote, more than 100 Shallowater citizens and athletes left the administration building before the meeting adjourned.
