The last day of the school year is still more than a week away and three Shallowater athletic programs are still in full swing.
On May 14, the Mustang baseball team swept Brownfield in its Class 3A area playoff round, while the Fillies swept River Road in their regional quarterfinal series. At the Class 3A state meet, the girls 1,600-meter and 800 relay earned silver medals, while Lonestarvarsity.com Boys Athlete of the Year Cooper Ogle was driving home with a bronze in the boys pole vault.
