WOODROW — Estacado’s Marcus Shavers has seen it all during his playing and coaching days,
But, on Saturday afternoon, the Matadors first-year head football coach admitted he participated in a first at the Cooper football facility.
“I never had any lineman challenges, or been a part of one myself,” said Shavers, who takes the helm of the Class 4A program after coaching at West Mesquite and Wichita Falls, playing three college seasons at Arkansas and Allen High School prior to that. “It’s just an awesome experience.”
