In many ways, Cooper has enjoyed its fair share of accomplishments on the football field over the past several years.
But the school had shown much of the prosperity in Class 4A.
After claiming its program-first outright district title in Class 5A last season, Cooper now had tangible evidence that success is possible in a new classification.
There were a few bumps in the 5A playoffs, which included a pair of area losses to El Paso Eastlake over the last two years, but the upward trend was evident.
