WOLFFORTH — Frenship’s Garrison Johnson wouldn’t go down.
The sophomore tailback returned from an early injury and broke a 52-yard touchdown run — shaking defenders along the way — to shift the momentum back in the Tigers’ favor in the fourth quarter of their 24-14 victory over El Paso Montwood on Friday at PeoplesBank Stadium.
“I have been waiting all summer,” Johnson smiled. “It has been (weighing) on me and it felt like a relief off my body to come out here with my teammates and do my thing.
