Ronald Awatt.
The name has become synonymous with what was, arguably, one of the best endings to the budding high school football rivalry between Cooper and Frenship.
Awatt — then a senior running back who later signed to play with UTEP — broke through the offensive line, spun out of the first would-be tackler, brushed off another tackler and juked to his left before scoring the go-ahead, 39-yard touchdown in a 21-16 victory last season.
