Christian Bennings and D’Anta Thomas scored 15 and 13 points, respectively, and Estacado opened the basketball season Tuesday night by winning at Lubbock High, 72-64.
The Matadors got 12 points from Larry Morrison and 10 from Keeshan Cobbs.
Jose Villalobos poured in 24 points for Lubbock High, and Xaveir Fremont and Ethan Espinosa were good for 15 apiece.
