Russell Harrison poured in a career-high 39 points, helping Monterey post a 105-77 home victory against Lubbock High in a game that featured two 30-point performances.
The Plainsmen withstood a 32-point game by the Westerners’ Jose Villalobos. Harrison scored 15 points in the first quarter, Villalobos had 15 in the second quarter and the half ended with Monterey up 57-44.
Harrison had 20 in the second half and finished with a top-five scoring performance in school history. He made six 3-point goals.
